Domestic Assistant Full & Part Time Positions (30 / 16 hours) Day Duty - £6.80 per hour


As a Domestic Assistant you will be hands on to meet the housekeeping needs of the Care Home. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness are met within all areas of the home adhering to strict infection control procedures. You will be required to follow all hygiene practices, adhere to safety regulations and complete / attend all mandatory training. Previous experience is desired but not necessary as full training will be provided. This post is subject to an Access NI check and satisfactory references. Probationary period of 6 months.

To assist the Nursing Staff in providing residents’ personal hygiene needs and assistance with dressing, toileting, eating, feeding etc.

Duties include:Attend and participate in handover from nursing staff taking instruction from the nurse in charge with regards to the priorities for the shift ahead.

Maintain records as directed by nursing staff / team leaders.

Demonstrate professional attitude towards elderly residents, their relatives and colleagues adhering to confidentiality at all times. Professional telephone manner & personal contact. Participate in activities with residents. Demonstrate high level of observation skills.

Attendance at all mandatory training sessions is a requirement including completion of all necessary e learning modules. Previous experience of working as a Care Assistant within a healthcare/residential setting would be an advantage but is not essential. This post is subject to an Access NI check and satisfactory references. Probationary period of 6 months.
